In
2001, in the US, four airliners are hijacked. Two are intentionally crashed
into the World Trade Center in New York City, which collapses shortly after.
Another airliner hits the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashes
into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people are killed in
the coordinated attacks.
