Letter of the week

WORLD OF LOVE

I wonder why many people only love people who love them as well. Is it something that affects all mankind, or is it just something that affects only individuals?

Since I've thought about love, I've realised that I can love people I know. I fall in love with them and start to study what they do — then I try to do the same.

Of course there are a lot of people in the world. You can love somebody that you don't even know. They can be spiritual guides. People like this encourage everybody to develop their quality of living.

If we open up our minds and follow these people that we love from far away, the world can be a wider and better place.

Phra Nakhornrat Promlang,
Nakhon Ratchasima

Thank you for your words on love, Phra Nakhornrat. There are all kinds of love from romantic to spiritual. A sense of love for other people and animals and the whole world around us is the best way that I know of to help ensure world peace. Right now there doesn't seem to be enough love going round. Let's hope for a better future. — Editor

CRAZY LITTLE THING

My favourite movie is A Little Thing Called Love. I like the movie because it's a lot of fun. It's also a romantic love story that mixes both drama and love scenes.

It makes me happy and in love with the movie. I think it's suitable for everybody because it's very good. It makes me sad and makes me feel love.

Supharat Prathanya,
Lampang

That sounds like a fun movie, Supharat. There's nothing quite like turning off your brain for a couple of hours to watch a romance movie. From what I found out about the movie on Google, it was a pretty big hit with one of Thailand's top stars. I'm happy you enjoy the movie so much. — Editor

FAMILY TIES

I have a small family. I have a sister, a grandmother and me. My mom went to Belgium, and I only get to see her one month a year. I love her a lot. My father stays in a house in Maemoh because it is close to his work.

I go to school and have lots of friends. Sometimes I join in with them, playing games after school. I play Dragonnest, which helps me learn a lot of English vocabulary.

When I go home, I have dinner with my family. My grandmother is a very good cook. After that, I do homework and play games.

Supawitch Rattononop,
Lampang

It must be a drag, having your family so spread out, Supawitch. But it sounds to me like you're handling it pretty well and making the most of it. Be sure to make the most of every moment you get to spend with your mom, especially since you don't get to see her very often. Also remember to be kind to your grandmother, and don't play too many games. Good luck. — Editor
