Editor's note

Time flies, the term break is over and here we are back for another school semester. As annoying as it no doubt is to be back in class and hitting the textbooks once again, look on the bright side — at least you get to catch up with some friends and classmates that you might have missed during the school break.

Here in the ancient offices of Student Weekly we’ve been working hard to keep delivering the best English language edutainment magazine in Thailand, chock-a-block full of K-pop cuties, sassy singers, famous film stars, television talent and the most newsworthy news.

Now that school is back in session, our pages will also include the best university test tips around (page 24), along with the lyrics of today’s top pop songs in Karaoke Korner (page 21), which is this issue happens to be Jason Mraz’s happy new hit, “Hello, You Beautiful Thing.” Also in our education section is the continuing adventures of grammar’s one and only superhero, Grammarman (page 23).

In the entertainment section of our back to school special, hot host and cover girl Ying Yae talks fashion and beauty (page 12), while Aussie pop band Sheppard discuss the art of taking the music world by storm on page 8.

On page 10, K-pop fans will be thrilled to read all about 2PM’s recent World Tour Go Crazy show in Bangkok. The talented Two Popetorn’s latest album is reviewed on page 20, while our Biographic comic on page 14 will tell you everything you need to know about Hollywood hero Denzel Washington.

Rounding out the pages of this prestigious publication are the brain-bending puzzles, cool comic and horoscope in our back pages section.

Whatever section of Student Weekly floats your boat, we’re very glad to have you with us for another term. Keep in touch and check out our Bangkok Post Student Weekly Facebook page, and feel free to drop us a letter for our Letter of the Week column (contact details can be found on page 5).

See you next week!
