Behave yourself. We're watching

Behave yourself. If you don't, there are cameras everywhere and your bad manners may be shown to the world on Facebook.

A few weeks ago we visited a page named "I park like an idiot" that takes aim at selfish people who park their cars in inappropriate places. It invites netizens to send in photos of offending motorists and their vehicles.

Now, there is an even more popular page focusing on our behaviour on the BTS and MRTC trains. It isn't good.

Entitled "This pole isn't free. Use the one in front" (เสานี้ไม่ว่าง เสาหน้านะน้อง ) it focuses on all types of bad behaviour on our mass transit systems, but interest focuses on the safety poles used by people who don't have a seat.

Some people seem to think that it is one pole per person. The pole they grab is for their personal use only.

The BTS recently introduced a new style of safety pole which allows a large number of people to use it to steady themselves, but it hasn't had much effect on passenger behaviour.

Post Today has a long story on the page plus analysis by academics. If you can read Thai, click here: http://bit.ly/1raeM3c
