PDRC to march to Thon Buri again

The People's Democratic Reform Committee has announced the route for its warm-up protest march today, in which anti-government demonstrators will again head to the Thon Buri side of the Chao Phraya River and back to Democracy Monument.

The protesters led by PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban will start off at 9am and move in an 11km loop starting from Democracy Monument to the Memorial Bridge, Ban Khak intersection Wong Wian Yai, Dhonburi Rajabhat University, Pran Nok intersection Siriraj Hospital, Arun Amarin intersection and back to their main Ratchadamnoen base by crossing Somdet Phra Pin Klao Bridge.

The roads which will be used by the protesters en route from Memorial Bridge to Somdet Phra Pin Klao Bridge are Lat Ya, Prajadhipok, Itsaraphap, Wang Lang and Arun Amarin.

PDRC spokesman Akanat Promphan said the protesters are expected to return to Democracy Monument between 5pm and 6pm.

Thursday's anti-government march is the third by the PDRC to try to encourage Bangkokians to join the planned mass shutdown of the capital on Jan 13, to pressure the caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her cabinet to step down
