Samurai Warriors Chronicle

Let's go and kick some warlord asses. Haat chaaaa...!

I spent 254 hours of my life which equals to 10 days playing a game. And as you've guessed, it's a 3DS game called Samurai Warriors Chronicle. I never thought I'll be using so much time on a single game this much.

Life can be tense from all the studies or all the work you've been doing all day and releasing that strain on hoards of enemies can be very satisfying.

By assuming a role of a freelance mercenary travelling from battle field to another trying to survive and beating other warlord together with plenty of pitiful soldiers along the way, I've start off as a lowly grunt who hardly survived the first battle field, now I'm pretty much the strongest warlord of the whole ancient Japan, who can blow hundreds of other lowly grunts away with a single blow of my sword, mace, pike, fist or whatever I choose to use.

I find it very pleasing to crush these grunts away one after another and challenge other famous Japan warlords on these battle field that you can command your character and other 3 warlord which you can choose to assist you to dominate each stage. You'll be busily commanding or guiding your team to complete certain task, which each state has plenty for you do, such as defeating a certain warlord, demolishing 100s of pitiful soldiers, guarding forts, helping others and so on.

I might have to admit that I'm a sadist from having an urge to crush more grunts and warlords, daily. Oh well, it's fun and challenging to be able to customize your team with weapons, armors, equipments then ditch your team out to defy your opponent's army, anyway.

Each warlord, which you can recruit to join your team, has their own sets of special moves and weapon. And you can copy their moves too. This means you can unleash all sorts of power and moves (see pictures), which is, again, every pleasing to see.

Playing this game will inject you with plenty of ancient war-era Japan history. Which range from year 1557 to year 1615, while Japan way basically on fire from war between warlords who wanted to rule land of the rising sun. You'll be friend and make foes with warlords who really existed in Japan history, such as Nobunaga Oda, Masamune Date, Hanzo Hattori, Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Ieyasu Tokugawa, to name a few. These entire playable warlords have their own stories and they are more than eager to talk about them in this game. So, you'll hear their life story when you befriend them or help them out.

Not only that, you'll have the chance to forge you own weapon from pitiful ones you gathered from the battle fields.

So, fighting, talking, forging weapons, making friendship, learning history is very pleasing for me and for you too, I'm pretty sure. Try it, I challenge you!

OK, I think it's time for me to go and kick some more warlord asses. Haat chaaaa...!
