English-Thai actress Selina Pearce has come a long way from her days as a contestant on Thai Supermodel 2010. Selina has shown her versatile talent and is now a rising acting star. After successful TV dramas with Channel 3, she recently moved to RS Channel 8.

Salina is playing Lady Aunisa in the new horror TV drama Baap Banpakarn (The Old Sins). Her famous co-stars include Sandy Chalida Klampan, Fluke Jira and Tong Pakkaramai. The show premiered on May 23 and can be seen at 8 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays on Channel 8.

Student Weekly had a chance to interview the 22-year-old star and ask her about the show.

Student Weekly: How many shows you have done since you moved to Channel 8?

Selina: The Old Sins is my second TV series with Channel 8. It took around five months to shoot and we finished on time.

Student Weekly: Is working at Channel 8 different to Channel 3?

Selina: It's the same kind of work. The only difference was to work with other directors as they all have their own style.

Student Weekly: Can you tell us more about The Old Sins?

Selina: It's a new horror drama which tells a story of two different generations. In the past, there was an unsolved murder in the family, and the descendants have to deal with a ghost who comes back to get revenge. They have to solve the mystery and find the real killer.

Student Weekly: What kind of character do you play?

Selina: I play Lady Aunisa who comes from a noble family. She's beautiful and wealthy, but she's the villain of the show. She's ready to marry the lead character Ramnarin, but he falls in love with another woman. So Aunisa is trying to get him back.

Student Weekly: You played a villain in Kularb Son Klin [Scentless Roses]. Do you enjoy playing bad characters?

Selina: I like all the roles I've done, but playing a bad character is a lot more fun. It's more challenging and fun to see your character developing into something entirely different, like when Aunisa goes crazy.

Student Weekly: Do you like to watch horror movies?

Selina: I used to watch Paranormal Activity but I got scared too easily. Watching a lot of horror can make you tired. These days I enjoy suspense and crime shows like CSI.

Student Weekly: Why shouldn't your fans miss The Old Sins?

Selina: It's different to most ghost dramas you've seen on TV. The story is interesting and it's not easy to guess what happens next. It's a big budget show with great actors and production that feels like a movie.
