The Rube are a four-piece band made up of musicians who studied music together. Each member of the band has had experience playing as a back-up musician for various different artists, so they have enough experience to make some interesting music.
The Rube were given an opportunity to release their first single, “Tang Klai Jai Klai Kan (Long Way to Your Heart),” as part of the Spicy Disc label’s special project album, Spawn by Melody of Life. That song had a nice blend of soul and pop sounds.
More recently, the band released their latest single, “Ka Ru Na (Please),” which has a similar pop soul sound. It’s a medium-tempo song with some great, funky guitar playing. The singing is also great, and the lyrics are about feeling lonely while waiting to find true love.
Listeners who liked the style of The Rube’s first single should enjoy “Please” just as much. — VH
