Did you know

Bank also starred in the TV series Stay Saga….I Will Miss You.

Following the massive success of the recent film Freelance, GTH will release the teen movie May Nhai Fai Rang Foer (May Who?) on October 1. Directed by Chayanop Boonprakob, who created 2011’s coming of age movie Suckseed, May Who? is the story of May Nhai (Sutatta Udomsilp), a girl with a secret she’s trying to hide. If her heart beats very quickly, her body generates electricity which can be felt by people who touch her.

Two young actors from Hormones the Series, Thanapob Leeratanakachorn (Tor) and Thiti Mahayotaruk (Bank), have supporting roles in the film. Tor plays a popular basketball player, Fame, who makes May Nhai’s heart pound whenever he’s around her. Bank plays the introverted Pong, who accidentally discovers May Nhai’s secret. May Nhai then has to help Pong impress the popular Ming (Frung Narikun), who he has a crush on.

Student Weekly recently met Tor and Bank at the GTH office, where they told us about their upcoming movie and acting experiences.

Student Weekly: What were you like during junior high school?

Bank: I was a nerd in primary school. I liked to attend tutoring classes and was a school representative for a maths contest. But in junior high school, I became interested in sports.

Tor: We both enjoyed sports. We played basketball, but we never played together.

Student Weekly: How did you change during high school?

Tor: During junior high school I was short, but in high school, I suddenly grew more than 10 centimetres. A health specialist once told me that basketball helps people grow taller because of the jumping exercises.

Student Weekly: How would you describe your characters in the movie?

Tor: Fame is a perfect man, which doesn’t exist in real life. He’s like a leading actor from a romantic Japanese story. But in the script his character was boring so I had to use my acting class knowledge to make him more interesting.

Bank: Pong is very different to me. He’s introverted and likes to write or draw in his diary. He lacks confidence and worries if he can do anything as well as others. But I like him because if he decides to do something, he will go all the way.

Student Weekly: What were your first impressions of each other?

Bank: I got close to Tor when we were in acting workshops for Hormones. I was impressed that he shared his experience with me. I feel comfortable with him and he always listens to my problems.

Tor: I was impressed by Bank’s audition with Kao Supatsara for Hormones Season II. Kao is very sexy. If I were him, I’d be nervous, but he was confident.

Student Weekly: Did you enjoy going to Japan to film Frozen Hormones?

Bank: It was my best overseas trip. I felt that besides my real family, I also had another family at work. I felt warmth when we were together.

Tor: I felt lucky to be in the show. It was our first trip together so we talked about our private lives, emotions and secrets which made us all closer.

Student Weekly: What was your idea behind the goodbye video you made for Frozen Hormones?

Tor: Our mission was to create a video to say goodbye to anybody who had to leave the show early, because I was sensitive about saying goodbye to people I was close to. While we were filming the video, I got emotional and cried.

Student Weekly: Why should Student Weekly readers check out the new film?

Tor: This isn’t an ordinary teen movie. May Who? will encourage viewers to become more brave.

Bank: May Who? has various moods and encourages viewers to search for their identity and dare to do what they like.
