Slur are back with their hot new single, “Phroa Took Krang (Tears).” Although popular guitarist Pae left the band quite some time ago, the band has steadily continued releasing new songs.

With this latest release, Slur show that they are continuing to grow and improve in many ways. The music on this single is both interesting and easy to listen to. The bass and drums especially stand out, with a cool retro ‘80s rock sound. The instruments all flow together nicely, including a synthesiser part that makes the song more interesting.

The lyrics of “Tears” are well-written and fit the music perfectly. The singing is also strong.

While a few of Slur’s songs in the past might have been difficult for some listeners to get into, the band shouldn’t have any problems making new fans with this track. Fans of Slur and local indie rock in general won’t be disappointed if they check out “Tears.” — VH
