Letter of the week

A FINE ROMANCE

I recently went to see romantic comedy movie I Fine, Thank You, Love You. It's about an English tutor played by Ice Prechaya. She tries to break up her Japanese pupil from her boyfriend, played by Sunny Suwanmetanon, because her pupil asks her to. Later there are many incidents that make them fall in love.

I think that this movie is awesome. The actor's performances are great, and they convey feelings to the audience. This movie includes romantic, sad and funny scenes. If you have a chance, you should see it.

Jaruwit Siripornpokanan (James),
Nonthaburi

That sounds like a cute movie, James. In fact I'm actually familiar with it. You might remember us featuring it in the December 8, 2014 issue. Ice was on the cover of that one. — Editor

JUMBO TROUBLE

Recently, I heard the news about an elephant in Khao Yai who destroyed a car. The reporter said that it was very dangerous for tourists to come out of their cars to take pictures with the elephants during January.

People can harmed, and visitors should remain calm if they see an elephant coming out of the forest. I was really shocked when I saw this news.

Teera Siribunsuk,
Bangkok

I've heard about the elephant problems in Khao Yai, Teera. It's been in the news off and on for a while now. People need to remember that elephants are wild animals and, as such, are unpredictable and quite dangerous in the wrong circumstances. It's always better to never leave your vehicle if you see a wild animal near the road. — Editor

FUN FESTIVAL

Last week I went to the Thailand Tourism Festival in Lumpini Park. It was very fun.

There were several zones at the festival, each one representing a different region of the Kingdom. Every zone had displays, cultural shows and food shops, representing each region.

There were lots of people there, and it was very crowded. Nevertheless, I had a very fun time. I hope to go to the festival again next year.

Ploy,
via email

I was at the tourism festival last week as well, Ploy. We went on opening night, and it was really busy. There were lots of lighted displays and performances, so we got some nice photographs. All in all, it seemed like a well-organised event. I hope it was successful for the organisers and lots of fun for everybody who attended. — Editor
