Rookie rock band Granite Chair have already had a few opportunities to show their talent by performing live on various stages around Bangkok. At the recent Melody of Life 7 festival, the four-piece band was chosen to be included on the new Spawn by Melody of Life compilation album. The single they recorded for that album, “Sum Pas (Touch),” is quite an interesting alternative post rock song.

Now with the Spicy Disc label, Granite Chair have just released their second single, “Ter Bork Hai Chan Yorm (You Tell Me to Obey).” The new song is a raw rock track with some standout guitar playing and straightforward lyrics that aim to give hope to people who are fighting to deal with a difficult problem, encouraging them not give up. Choe from the band Lullaby helped to write the lyrics, while the music was created by the band.

Granite Chair’s latest release rocks even harder than their first single. It shows that they’re a new band that is well worth checking out. — VH
