Woman killed in accident
A woman was killed on the Bang Pa-in ring road when her high-heel shoe got caught in the brake pedal of her pickup truck, causing it to skid and overturn.
The incident happened on the night of December 11 as she was travelling along Kanchana ring road towards Ayutthaya. Police and rescue workers found the vehicle in front of the Bueng Maruay Restaurant.
The woman was trapped inside. After freeing her body, emergency workers found one of her high-heeled shoes stuck in the brake pedal. The dead woman was yet to be formally identified.

Villagers trap unexpected animal
Villagers in Klong Laung district of Pathum Thani on December 13 found a baby kangaroo under a rat trap they had set up.
The male kangaroo was injured after its leg was caught in the trap and could go nowhere until villagers found it. The animal was later moved to a cage but was agitated from its ordeal. It didn’t eat the vegetables or fruit or drink the water villagers offered it and jumped around the cage. They then informed the village chief, who contacted wildlife officials to take care of the animal.

Bomb blast
Three soldiers injured
Three soldiers were injured by a bomb explosion. It happened on December 10. They were patrolling a road in Ban Dala district of Narathiwat. A bomb crater was also found at the scene. The soldiers were sent to a nearby hospital.
