Fans of Channel 3 will likely be thrilled with the release of Channel 3 Soundtrack Volume 1, which features music from three popular TV shows. Famed songwriter Nueng Narongvit was the main producer for the project, and the songs are sung by a variety of talented artists.

The album cover artwork relates to the three hit series’ that originally featured the songs on this release. The flowers and trees represent Nai Suan Kwan (The Cherished Garden), the horse represents Fai Nai Wayu (Wayu’s Wrath), while the mirror and candle relate to Weang Roi Dao (The Ghost’s Vengeance).

The album starts with the warm pop song “Your Garden,” sung by Two Popetorn and originally featured on the soundtrack of The Cherished Garden. Another track from this particular series is the ballad Rue Peang Kae Ngao (Or Am I Just Lonely?),” sung by leading actress Margie Rasri Balenciaga.

The songs from Wayu’s Wrath are breezier, like the bossa nova styled “Chuay Yu Trong Nee (Please Stay).” This song, performed by Klom Orawee from The Voice Thailand, is about a guy who is willing to do anything to mend a girl’s broken heart. “Wa Ja Mai Ruk (Unexpected Love)” is a light rock song performed by Pu Blackhead.

The songs from The Ghost’s Vengeance are slower and sung by female singers with melodic voices. “Ying Glai Ying Chai (The Closer I Get, the More You Are the Right One)” is sung by Academy Fantasia star Patcha Anek-Ayuwat, while soulful veteran Maleewan Jimena sings “Kwam Jing (The Hidden Truth).”

Channel 3 Soundtrack Volume 1 features four bonus tracks, which are acoustic and instrumental versions of some of the songs. Fans of Channel 3 drams, as well as those who like easy-listening Thai pop, will find this release highly enjoyable. — WC
