The annual event for Japanese manga and animation fans is back. On May 3, fans will be delighted to meet singer Mitsuko Horie, who sang the original soundtrack songs for all-time anime favourites Candy Candy, Saint Seiya and Voltes V.

On May 4, singers Koji Wadae and Masami Oku will perform for their Thai fans. While Koji Wadae is known for singing “Butter-Fly” from the Digimon Adventure soundtrack, the talented Masami Okui worked as a backing singer for various artists before singing on the soundtrack of Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Aside from enjoying soundtrack songs from the original singers, the Thai Japan Anime Music Festival will feature a cosplay parade, animation soundtrack singing contests and performances from other Japanese anime soundtrack singers. There will also be a 20,000 baht award and a free class at the Digital Hollywood Academy for the winner of a 45 minute animation contest with the theme of “Welcome AEC.”

Admission is free. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/thaijapananime or gyucreative.com/animemusicfestival/2014/.
