Renowned Scottish singer, songwriter, producer and DJ Calvin Harris recently released his third album, 18 Months.

The album contains 15 songs, most of which are regularly featured on the playlists of radio stations, restaurants, department stores and clubs. Synthpop and house music fans will definitely be familiar with the hits “Feel So Close,” “We’ll Be Coming Back,” “I Need Your Love” and “Let’s Go,” which features guest singer Ne-Yo.

Nine songs from 18 Months have already made it to the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart, making it the first non-compilation album in history to feature so many top 10 singles.

The album opens with “Green Valley,” a less frequently heard track, but one that sets the mood well with a shadowy trance sound. The song smoothly shifts into the second track, “Bounce,” which has a more animated and vibrant rhythm. This song features vocals from quirky R&B star Kelis.

Calvin’s energetic style is captivating throughout the album. One factor that distinguishes him from other artists is his effortless blend of modern R&B and progressive house, creating an upbeat sound that will make listeners want to dance and sing along.

18 Months is a great album that is worth buying for fans of synthpop and house music, or anybody who likes to check out stylish new music. — WC
