Author Gillian Flynn wrote the screenplay for the film version of Gone Girl.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker David Fincher, Gone Girl is an exciting new American mystery thriller based on Gillian Flynn’s popular novel of the same name.

Former New York writer Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) and his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) are trying to make ends meet after losing their jobs during the recession in the US.

On the day of their fifth wedding anniversary, Amy mysteriously goes missing, and Nick soon becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation. A media frenzy soon develops as the search for Amy, who could be either dead or alive, captures the public’s attention.

The case becomes increasingly complex as secrets are uncovered and new facts are discovered that reveal nothing to be as it first seemed.
