In brief: Born in Saratov, Russia, this 25-year-old music producer began playing the piano and drums at the age of four. Zedd began producing electronic music in 2009. He produced remixes for famous singers, including “Marry the Night” for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Special Edition album in 2011. Zedd signed with Interscope to release his debut album, Clarity, in October 2012. The album reached No.2 on the US Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart, helped along by the hit singles “Stay the Night,” which features Hayley Williams from the band Paramore and also “Clarity,” which features guest singer Foxes. In addition, “Clarity” also earned him the Best Dance Recording award at the 2014 Grammy Awards. His new album, True Colors, was released last May. The album features the smash hits “I Want You to Know” featuring Selena Gomez as well as “Beautiful Now” featuring Jon Bellion.
