In the countries of the ASEAN Economic Community, lacquering is a highly-developed technique that is used in the making of many handicrafts. The Long Rak exhibition at Museum Siam displays handicrafts, lacquerware and kitchenware created using various lacquering techniques.

As part of the exhibition, there will be a stage play on May 24 and a trip to see a demonstration of lacquering techniques by specialists at the Office of Traditional Arts, Fine Art Department in Nakhon Pathom on May 22.
