Keanu Reeves recently directed his first film, the martial arts movie Man of Tai Chi.

Directed by Carl Erik Rinsch, the epic new 3-D action-adventure movie 47 Ronin is based on a Japanese legend and stars Keanu Reeves and a select cast of renowned Japanese actors.

After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honour to their people.

Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, the Ronin must seek the help of Kai (Reeves), a half-breed they once rejected, as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, witchcraft and terror.

The outcast Kai gradually transforms into a hero who inspires the group of rebels to confront the evil taking over their land.

Catch the action, magic and adventure when 47 Ronin hits local cinemas on December 24.
