In brief: Born Natasha Anne Bedingfield on November 26, 1981, this
English singer grew up in a musical family. In the ‘90s, Natasha performed
alongside her brother and sister in a Christian electro group called The DNA
Algorithm. Natasha left the University of Greenwich after one year of study to
focus on singing and songwriting. She began recording at friends’ home studios,
eventually presenting her demos to record companies. In 2007, she received a
Grammy Award nomination for her album Unwritten.
