Louie Zamperini died in 2014 at the age of 97.

Adapted from Laura Hillenbrand’s popular book of the same name, the new American drama film Unbroken is an inspiring true story about triumph over tribulation and the resilient power of the human spirit.

Set in the Pacific against the backdrop of a world teetering on the brink of collapse during World War II, Unbroken follows the journey of Louie Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) from a carefree young man to a battle-weary yet defiant prisoner of war who becomes a beacon of hope for a nation mired in global conflict.
