Did you know

Donghae starred in the 2014 movie, The Youth.

Donghae & Eunhyuk, better known as D&E, is a sub-group of K-pop sensation Super Junior which consists of two members — Lee Donghae, 28, and Eunhyuk, 29.

Since 2011, the duo has released several singles and albums both in Korean and Japanese. After having two concert tours in Japan, they finally toured Asia to promote their latest EP, The Beat Goes On, and visited Thailand to meet their loyal fans.

LUXURY PROPS

On Mother’s Day, Donghae and Eunhyuk held a concert at Paragon Hall. Like other SM Entertainment shows, its props were extravagant, including a helicopter and motorbikes. During the opening song, “Scary House,” the duo sat beside a helicopter that was lowered onto the stage. The next track was “Motorcycle,” and the duo rode motorcycles around the hall, making the fan club E.L.F. members excited to get a glimpse of their favourite singers up close. The stage also had moving platforms so the singers could reach each part of the audience.

DANCING DUO

Donghae and Eunhyuk are a perfect match. As lead dancers of Super Junior, they move together beautifully and smoothly. Their effortless dance moves were fun to watch. Despite some lip-syncing, the dancers proved that they are able to sing well.

IMPROVED SINGING

As a dancer who previously had a hard time singing ballads, Eunhyuk managed to sing well on all the songs. On his solo and self-written, “Say My Name,” he impressed the crowd with his fast rapping and trademark dance moves. During his solo song, “Wonderland,” Donghae looked worn out, but he controlled his singing well. In the past, Donghae couldn’t maintain his singing while he danced, but his voice was steady throughout this show.

SONG AND DANCE

Aside from their singing and dancing, the E.L.F. enjoyed Donghae and Eunhyuk’s funny conversations. The humorous duo was laid back and liked to joke around. During the encore, they sang “Can You Feel It,” and the fans could sing along and jump up and down with them. Eunhyuk lay down onstage and said he was tired. Then, they both tried to encourage everybody in the hall to sing and dance with them again including a shy bodyguard and the famous Thai TV reporter, Sorayuth Suthassanachinda, who was in the audience. The duo also imitated the Thai language from their translator which delighted the fans.

THANKFUL FAREWELL

While the duo thanked fans and the crew, the E.L.F. sang Super Junior’s “Short Journey,” because Donghae and Eunhyuk will enter military service soon. The duo was surprised and impressed. Donghae thanked the E.L.F. and told them to stay healthy and not worry about him. Eunhyuk tried very hard to hold back his tears and thanked the fans for always staying by their side. He said he didn’t want to say goodbye in this sad atmosphere and tried to cheer everybody up. At the end, Donghae told everybody to not cheat on them. However, when they introduced fans to the handsome back up dancers, the E.L.F. screamed. Donghae joked that the fans had cheated on them already.
