Pop star Ice is back with his latest album, Rak Kan Na (Let’s Fall in Love). The album features a variety pop dance music, including some sounds and styles that Ice has never attempted before.
The album’s title track, “Rak kan Na (Let’s Fall in Love),” blends traditional Thai music with modern pop in a very novel way. The song features guest vocals from popular young female look tung singer Paowalee.
“Ya Wai Jai Kwam Ngao (Don’t Trust Your Loneliness) is a slow, sad song that Ice sings quite well. Another highlight of the album is “Journey of Love,” another slow love song that really stands out, especially since Ice wrote both the lyrics and melody of the song.
With Let’s Fall in Love, Ice maintains his usual high standards while branching out and trying new things. Videos from some of the album’s songs show that the star can still come up with the unique dance steps that his fans have come to expect. Ice’s listeners should be happy with this release. — VH
