In 1792, the famous Hope Diamond is stolen from France along with other French crown jewels. The diamond changes hands many times over the years and is currently housed in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington, DC.

In 2001, two hijacked aeroplanes crash into the World Trade Center in New York City, while a third smashes into The Pentagon in Virginia and a fourth into a field in Pennsylvania, in a series of coordinated suicide attacks by 19 members of al-Qaeda. Altogether, 2,996 people are killed.

Today is the last day at Ardel’s Third Place Gallery on Thonglor Soi 10 to see Tik Shiro’s DNA, an exhibition of sculptures and paintings by singer and artist Manasawin Nantasen, also known as Tik Shiro.
