Directed by Ralph Ziman, Kite is an American action film based on Japanese animator Yasuomi Umetsu’s ground-breaking hit anime of the same name.

A young woman named Sawa (India Eisley) lives in a dystopia caused by economic collapse. In this world, corrupt security forces engage in human trafficking, bringing girls into prostitution for their own financial gain.

Sawa, a beautiful but detached woman, lives the life of a secret assassin. She is on a quest to track down the murderer of her beloved father, who was a detective investigating human trafficking. Aiding her in this search is her father’s former partner, Karl Aker (Samuel L. Jackson).
