The classic songs of Disney movies have been compiled on the third album of the series We Love Disney. The album features stars such as Ne-Yo, Jessie J, Lucy Hale and Ariana Grande.
There are 15 tracks packed onto We Love Disney, and a highlight is The Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World,” a song about a mermaid expressing her desire to become human, sung by R&B singer Jessie J. Another hit, Elton John’s ballad “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King, is covered here by Jason Derulo. For a change of style, there’s “I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song),” which originally featured Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book. On the We Love Disney version, American band Fall Out Boy bring their usual pop-punk sound.
Jazz fans will enjoy Charles Perry’s version of “Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat” from The Aristocats, while country music fans will love Frozen’s “Let It Go”, by Rascal Flatts and Lucy Hall.
Overall, Disney has brought together some well-known songs and presented them in a diverse range of styles. There’s a song for everybody somewhere on this album. —SK
