After plenty of hard work and many long training sessions, the Rajavinit Bangkhen School futsal team won the trophy at the recent MILO Cereal Champions 2013 tournament.

Held between July and August by Nestlé (Thailand) Ltd., the MILO Cereal Champions tournament attracted many sporty and healthy kids who have a great passion for futsal. About 106 fustal teams from different provinces countrywide took part in this year’s tournament.

PROUD WIN

Rajavinit Bangkhen School fustal team coach Nakorn Choosaisorn said that sport was a great way to instill goodness in young people.

“Our school participated in the futsal tournament for the first time this year,” he said. “It was a big event for the kids, and it felt even better when their hard work paid off as they won the title.”

TRAIN AND GAIN

Muhammad Usamanmusa, a Matayom 4 student and captain of the Rajavinit Bangkhen School futsal team, trained for many hours a week leading up to the tournament. On a typical day, he and his teammates went for training in the morning, attended classes during the day, then went back to continue their training in the evening.

“I got a morale boost and motivation to work harder, eat better and play futsal to my full potential,” Muhammad said. “The game also taught me the spirit of unity.”

GREAT START

Siriporn Ruangthammakit, Country Business Manager of Nestlé (Thailand) Ltd. said that her company encouraged youngsters to by healthy and to eat a nutritious breakfast every day.

“The futsal tournament was created as a platform for the young to showcase their skills and develop their talents while enjoying a team sport,” she said. “In addition, the event encouraged them to recognise the importance of a healthy breakfast.”
