Did you know

BTS won best new artist (Asia) at Japan Gold Disc Awards.

K-pop boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, have a great reputation for fierce performances, razor-sharp rapping and catchy songs. Recently, the seven-member group achieved big success with their album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1, which features the smash hit, “I Need U."

BTS have been touring the world to promote the album, and their show, BTS Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet Second Half in Thailand, hit Bangkok's Thunder Dome on August 8.

HAPPY MEETING

On August 7, BTS ¬— Rap Monster, 21,Suga, 22, J-Hope, 21, V, 19, Jin, 22, Jimin, 19 and Jungkook, 18 — held a press conference at Central World. Fans were invited to attend, and the event was jam-packed with members of BTS's A.R.M.Y fan club.

Due to the loud screams from the excited fans, it was hard to catch what the guys said during the interview. The crowd got particularly excited when members of the group spoke Thai.

The guys were asked how they had grown and developed since their debut release. Sugar replied that they feel like they've grown every time they visit Thailand. He also mentioned that the number of Thai fans has also increased, making every visit to Thailand delightful for the group.

GREAT ACT

At the concert, an opening video introduced the guys as rebellious students turning up late to class. BTS then appeared and performed the strong, beat-heavy tracks “No” and “We Are Bulletproof Part 2.”

Most of the 23 songs that the guys performed were dance songs that required a lot of vigor from the group, who were on fire the whole time. They belted out the songs powerfully and danced in sync throughout the show.

ACTIVE A.R.M.Y

One of the reasons for BTS's boundless energy might have been Thai A.R.M.Y, who responded to every song with great enthusiasm. The fans cheered and chanted loudly, and sang along with the group for many of the songs. A highlight of the show was when the guys sang Kangsom’s Thai song, “You, Only You.” The fans were glad to see such a great effort from the group.

SWEET TALK

After singing the hip-hop song "Road" for an encore, Jin thanked the fans and said that he couldn't do anything if it wasn't for them. Suga said he'd never forget Thai A.R.M.Y and asked them to stay with the band forever. Rap Monster then told the crowd that Bangkok was the only city that BTS had returned to for a second tour.

Before leaving, the guys taught their fans to say "I love you" in Korean, and the audience didn't hesitate to try it. BTS then told their fans that they loved them, causing the crowd the scream happily once more.
