From Blue Sky Studios comes the new 3-D computer-animated musical adventure-comedy film Rio 2, the sequel to the popular 2011 film, Rio.
This time around, the family of feathered friends — Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), Jewel (Anne Hathaway) and their three kids — decide to leave their city life in Rio de Janeiro for a journey to the Amazon rainforest.
When they arrive at the forest, they meet Jewel’s long-lost father, Eduardo (Andy García), who is in hiding with a tribe of other Spix’s Macaw. At first everything seems perfect, but Blu soon finds that he is having trouble fitting in.
Things get worse when they realise that their Amazonian habitat is under threat. On top of that, Blu and Jewel run into their old nemesis Nigel (Jemaine Clement), an evil cockatoo who is out for revenge.
Catch the action, humour, music and mayhem when the colourful Rio 2 hits local cinemas on April 10.
