A tough cop fights to save himself

Based on a novel by crime writer James Ellroy, Street Kings is a gritty urban thriller set on the mean streets of Los Angeles.

Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) is a hard-drinking veteran LA cop who finds life difficult to deal with after the death of his wife.

James Ellroy also co-wrote the screenplay for Street Kings.

When evidence implicates Ludlow in the murder of a fellow officer, he has to go up against the police culture that he’s been a part of throughout his career. Ultimately he is forced to question the loyalties of everybody around him.

Filmed on location in Los Angeles, Street Kings is a film steeped in realism, transcending the typical police-thriller genre.

Street Kings is essentially a story of brotherhood, loyalty and survival. The film raises some provocative questions and isn’t afraid to explore the grey areas between good and evil.

Get in on the action when Street Kings hits cinemas on April 10.
