In his latest single, “I Want You to Know,” Zedd wants his girlfriend to realise that they can get through a tough time together. He wants her to help him protect their love, no matter what happens.

In brief: Born in Saratov, Russia, this 24-year-old music producer began playing the piano and drums at the age of four. Zedd began producing electronic music in 2009. He produced remixes for famous singers, including “Marry the Night” for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Special Edition album in 2011. Zedd signed with Interscope to release his debut album, Clarity, in October 2012. The album reached No. 3 on the US Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart, helped along by the hit single “Clarity,” which features guest singer Foxes, and “Stay the Night,” which features Hayley Williams from the band Paramore. Zedd’s latest single, “I Want You to Know,” featuring guest vocalist Selena Gomez, was released last February.
