Piano playing pop star ToR+ Saksit is back with a new 6-track EP called Add 9. As well as describing a musical chord, the title Add 9 also refers to the singer-songwriter’s nine years in the music business.

ToR+ is always involved with every process of making his albums, and Add 9 is no exception. The difference this time is that the star has also chosen to work with a new producer and several different guest artists.

One of the highlights on this release is “Gugg (Standing in the Way),” a mid-tempo pop song that is more playful than what fans have come to expect from ToR+. Other songs on Add 9 also try for something different, such as adding vintage or electronic sounds, making this more of an international sounding release that ToR+’s previous efforts.

Despite the differences in sound and the new approaches to music making employed on this EP, Tor+’s fans should still be impressed with the top pop music on offer. — VH
