Directed by Doug Liman and based on a novel called All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, Edge of Tomorrow is an exciting new science fiction action film.

The action in Edge of Tomorrow takes place in a near future in which in alien race has hit Earth in an unrelenting assault that can’t be defeated by any of the world’s military units.

Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is a military officer who has never seen a day of combat until he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop, forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again.

However, with each battle, fighting alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), Cage becomes able to engage his adversaries with increasing skill. As Cage and Rita fight the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
