  • Books: Bookworm Beatle

    Reading a lot of books can make you a great storyteller. The singer-songwriter and play writer Sukumphan Thititananphan (Beatle) has been a bookworm since he was in kindergarten. Beatle first started reading magazines as a child and his reading developed as he got older. Beatle used to enjoy fantasy and sci-fi fiction, but at university he started reading non-fiction books.

    Jannine Parawie Weigel (Ploychompoo) is one of the busiest YouTube sensations and pop idols right now. The German-Thai singer has been promoting her first ballad, “Piew (Away),” and was recently in Los Angeles to record two English-language songs after the success of her debut English-language EP Genesis.

    Over the past couple of years, local underground band Triggs and the Longest Day have been making a name for themselves as one of Thailand's few true garage rock 'n' roll bands. Almost Ready is their first full-length album, and it does a great job of capturing the band's chaotic live energy and excitement.
