Exodus: Gods and Kings is based on the Book of Exodus from the Old Testament of the Bible.

From acclaimed English film director Ridley Scott, known for famous films like Blade Runner, Gladiator and Black Hawk Down, comes the new epic adventure, Exodus: Gods and Kings. Scott’s latest film tells the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire.

Using state of the art visual effects and 3-D immersion, Scott brings new life to the biblical story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 400,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

The film’s all-star cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver and John Turturro.
